Lost and Found

Surrounded by throngs of lights yet it is so dim,
The hussle and bussle around me creates a swirling chaos,
I am unseen, unmoving and hidden like stone,
Trapped in this intermnable torment,
Damned and cursed forever.

The pain sears through my soul over and over,
My heart blackens and blisters in the darkness,
If only someone would lift the shroud from my eyes,
And save me from falling into the abyss.

A burst of light, my hair stands up end,
Chills run down my spine from the shock,
Is this the end? My skin begins to tingle,
The shadows begin to be pushed back slowly,
I can feel the strength return to me,
The warmth penetrating down to my soul.
